Rolex Sky-Dweller 326238 White Dial on Rubber 2021
Description
The Ref. 326238 sits at the top of the Sky-Dweller's yellow gold range — a reference that, since the model's 2012 debut, has represented Rolex's most mechanically ambitious complication. The Sky-Dweller houses the in-house Cal. 9001, a self-winding movement with a bidirectional rotor and a annual calendar that distinguishes between 30- and 31-day months automatically, requiring correction only in February. The complication is governed by the Saros system, a patented ring-command bezel that allows the wearer to switch between setting functions — time, home time, and calendar — by rotating the bezel itself rather than pulling the crown to multiple positions. In yellow gold, the architecture of that bezel reads as deliberate rather than functional, which is exactly the point.
This example pairs the 42mm yellow gold case with a white dial and baton indices — the cleaner of the two primary dial configurations, and the one that lets the off-center annual calendar apertures read without competition. The rubber bracelet is an Oysterflex-style pairing that softens the formality of solid gold in a way the integrated Oyster bracelet does not; it wears lighter on the wrist than the case material suggests it should. The white dial in yellow gold is a combination that photographs poorly and rewards the wrist entirely.
Offered in very good condition as a full set, with box and papers dated 2021.
