Rolex Cellini 4133 White Dial on Leather 1995
Description
The Cellini line has always represented Rolex's argument for pure horology — no date, no diver's bezel, no concession to sport. The Ref. 4133 sits near the heart of that tradition: a 32mm dress watch in 18-karat yellow gold, manually wound, with Roman numeral indices on a white dial. The manual movement inside demands a daily ritual that a rotor-wound watch never asks of its owner, and that relationship between hand and mechanism is precisely what the Cellini collector is after. Production of this reference through the mid-1990s kept the case proportions restrained at a moment when the broader market was already drifting larger.
White lacquer against yellow gold is the correct pairing here — a champagne or silver dial would soften the contrast that makes the Roman numerals read so cleanly at a glance. The sapphire crystal protects without the distortion that earlier hesalite examples introduced. On the wrist, 32mm in solid gold carries more presence than the number suggests; the weight is part of the wearing. This example dates to 1995 and presents in unworn condition throughout, with very good surfaces across case, dial, crystal, and bezel — a state that photographs cannot fully account for.
Offered unworn, watch only, no box or papers.
