Description
Noir Porosus is the most restrained an exotic Kelly gets. Porosus is the saltwater crocodile, and its scales are small and tightly symmetrical — at 32cm that means a great many of them, running in ordered rows across the flap and body. The pattern does the work colour does elsewhere.
The shine is not applied. The skin is polished by hand with an agate stone until the surface takes a glass-like finish, and in black that finish is at its most severe: nearly lacquered in direct light, close to matte in shadow, moving between the two as the bag does.
Gold hardware reads as warmth against a skin that has none of its own.
