Sellier is the more demanding of the two Kelly constructions. The seams are stitched on the outside, so every edge is exposed and finished rather than turned in and hidden. The result stands on its own — rigid walls, defined corners, a silhouette that does not soften with use the way a Retourne does.

Epsom is the leather that makes that work. It is calfskin embossed under heat, so the cross-hatch grain is pressed into the hide rather than grown out of it, which leaves the surface firm, scratch-resistant, and able to hold a crisp edge indefinitely. Pairing it with Sellier is not a styling decision; it is what keeps those corners square years in. Bleu Glacier is a pale, cool blue, and Epsom's flat, uniform finish carries it evenly across every panel without the tonal drift a grained leather introduces.

Gold hardware is the warm counterweight — the one element in the bag that is not cold.
