Cartier Panthère W4PN0008 Silver Dial on Leather
Description
The Panthère de Cartier is one of the house's most architecturally resolved designs — a watch where the case, bracelet, and dial function as a single composition rather than assembled parts. Introduced in 1983 and revived in its current form in 2017, the Panthère established a proportional language that remains distinct from anything else in Cartier's catalog. The W4PN0008 is the medium reference, measuring 27×37mm in stainless steel, and runs on a quartz movement — the correct choice for a case of this geometry, where a mechanical caliber would compromise the slim profile that defines the line. Forty-four brilliant-cut diamonds set into the case, a sapphire crystal, and the signature sapphire cabochon crown are the details that separate this configuration from the entry-level steel.
The silver dial with Roman numerals is the Panthère at its most resolved — the blued-steel hands read cleanly against it in a way the darker dial variants don't quite achieve. This example is presented on an original Cartier leather strap with the original Cartier buckle, which keeps the wrist profile lower and lighter than the integrated bracelet version. In hand, the case catches light across its beveled surfaces in a way that photographs consistently flatten.
In very good condition throughout, offered watch only.
