Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 26400SO.OO.A002CA.01 Silver Dial on Rubber Strap 2020
Description
The Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph has always been the louder argument — Gerald Genta's original 1972 Royal Oak scaled up and recast for a generation that wanted more presence on the wrist. The Ref. 26400SO represents the Offshore at its most resolved: a 44mm stainless steel case with a ceramic bezel, housing Audemars Piguet's Calibre 3126/3840, an automatic movement with a column-wheel chronograph mechanism integrated into a base movement that traces its architecture to the Royal Oak's own lineage. The pushers are oversized by design, the case construction layered and angular in a way that photographs flatten entirely.
This example is configured with the silver dial — the correct choice against the darker alternatives in the 26400 family. Against a black or grey dial, the ceramic bezel reads as a contrast element; against silver, the whole watch coheres into something more considered, the indices and subdials sitting cleanly without competing. The rubber strap keeps the wrist feel lighter than the integrated bracelet versions, and in hand the dial has a quality that shifts with the light in a way that makes the watch feel different at noon than it does at dusk. Warranty dated to 2020.
Offered in excellent condition, as a full set with box and papers.
