The ref. 26400SO is among the more focused expressions of that formula: 44mm of stainless steel, a ceramic bezel that resists the scratching and fading that plagued earlier aluminum versions, and the column-wheel–controlled calibre 3126/3840 driving the chronograph functions with the measured authority that distinguishes a column-wheel movement — one that uses a rotating toothed wheel to sequence the start, stop, and reset — from the cheaper cam-and-lever alternative. The "Russian Flag" designation refers to the tricolor camo rubber strap configuration, a limited series variant that gives the reference a specific identity within the broader 26400 family.

This example presents on a blue dial, which reads differently from the more common black — cooler in shade, with the applied indices catching light in a way that photographs consistently understate.
