Rolex Oyster Perpetual 124300 Black Dial on Oyster 2020
Description
The Ref. 124300 represents Rolex's most deliberate statement about the Oyster Perpetual as a pure object. Introduced in 2020, the 41mm case brought the no-date Oyster Perpetual into direct conversation with the sport references in terms of wrist presence, while the smooth bezel and uncluttered dial kept it firmly in the dress-casual register the line has always occupied. Inside sits Caliber 3230, Rolex's first movement to incorporate the Chronergy escapement — a nickel-phosphorus lever and escape wheel geometry that improves efficiency by roughly 15 percent over the previous lever design — paired with a Parachrom hairspring and a 70-hour power reserve. The result is a movement that runs quieter and longer than what it replaced.
The black dial on the 124300 is the configuration that rewards the most attention. Against the polished and brushed surfaces of the Oyster case, it reads with a depth that the coral, turquoise, and candy-toned dials — however well executed — simply don't offer the same long-term restraint. Baton indices in applied steel catch light at angles a photograph flattens entirely. This example presents in very good condition throughout, with hardly visible signs of wear on the case, bracelet, bezel, and caseback.
Offered in excellent condition as a full set, with original box and Rolex papers dated October 2020. Serviced July 2026.
