Where the earlier 16713 relied on an aluminum insert — subject to fading and scratching over decades of use — the 116713LN's black ceramic bezel holds its color and finish indefinitely. The movement is the caliber 3186, a 31-jewel automatic built on the architecture of the 3135 but with a Parachrom hairspring and a dedicated GMT complication driven by an independent 24-hour hand, allowing the wearer to track a second time zone without disturbing the local time setting.
