Omega Speedmaster Reduced 175.0032 White Steel 1993

The Speedmaster Reduced — Ref. 175.0032 — occupies a specific and often underappreciated position in Omega's Speedmaster lineage. Introduced as a smaller-cased alternative to the full 42mm Professional, the Reduced brought the Speedmaster's chronograph architecture to a 39mm steel case powered by an automatic movement, making it the only self-winding chronograph in the family at the time. The caliber driving it is a column-wheel chronograph movement — column-wheel meaning the start, stop, and reset functions are governed by a rotating toothed wheel rather than a simpler cam lever, a construction that produces a more precise, tactile pusher action and is generally preferred by collectors for its mechanical integrity.

The white panda dial — white ground with dark subdials — is the configuration serious collectors seek in this reference. Against a black dial the contrast reads as expected; the panda reverses that logic and gives the registers a graphic clarity that photographs consistently understate. This example dates to 1993, retains only original parts, and wears its three decades with the kind of honest patina that confirms authenticity rather than undermining it. The plexiglass crystal, correct for the period, adds to that integrity.

Offered in very good condition with original Omega papers dated 1993. Serviced through September 2026.
