Omega Seamaster 120 M 136.027 Black Leather
Description
The Omega Seamaster ref. 136.027 belongs to the 120 M generation that Omega produced through the 1970s — a line that sat between the tool-watch seriousness of the Ploprof and the dressier Seamaster De Ville, occupying a middle ground that collectors have come to appreciate precisely because it was never the obvious choice. The 37mm stainless steel case houses a manual-winding movement, a configuration that rewards the daily ritual of winding in a way that a rotor never quite does. The plexiglass crystal is correct for the period and, unlike mineral or sapphire, carries a warmth that photographs consistently understate.
The black dial with stick indices is the right combination for this reference — cleaner and more legible than the variants that added texture or color, and better suited to the rotating bezel's utilitarian intent. The dial shows age-appropriate patina, which on a watch of this vintage is evidence of an unrestored original surface rather than a liability. That patina shifts under different light in a way that no refinished dial can replicate. The leather bracelet presents in very good condition, as do the case, caseback, and crystal; the bezel carries honest signs of wear consistent with its age.
Offered in pre-owned, original condition, watch only.
