Thirty centimetres is where the Birkin has settled. It is the size the house now sees requested most — wide enough to be the bag someone actually uses, contained enough that it never reads as luggage.

Bleu Atoll is a bright, clear blue with a turquoise lean, and Togo is the reason it stays legible rather than flattening. The pebbled grain introduced in 1997 has a raised, finely veined surface that takes light unevenly, so a strong colour shades across the panel instead of sitting as a single block. Togo also resists scratches and light water and keeps its structure without stiffening.

Palladium hardware — a platinum-group metal, cool silver, resistant to tarnish — keeps the pairing cold rather than pushing the blue toward the tropical.
