Cartier Colisee 590002 White Dial on Leather
Description
The Must de Cartier line, introduced in the 1970s, was Cartier's deliberate answer to a broader market — pieces that carried the house's formal vocabulary without the weight of solid gold. The Colisée sits within that family as one of its more refined expressions: a 24mm case in vermeil silver, the Roman numeral dial, the sapphire cabochon crown that has distinguished Cartier dress watches for generations. Reference 590002 runs on a quartz movement, which in this context is the correct choice — the case proportions and the wrist presence are those of a dress watch, and a slim quartz module keeps the profile honest.
This example presents the white dial in silver on the original Cartier leather strap with fold clasp — all original parts, no substitutions. The white dial with Roman numerals reads with a quietness that photographs flatten entirely; in person, the chapter ring and the fine printing carry a depth that only becomes apparent at an angle. The sapphire crystal shows very good condition with hardly visible signs of wear, as does the case and bezel. The bracelet shows good condition with signs of wear consistent with use.
Offered pre-owned in very good overall condition, watch only.
