Breitling Navitimer A13322 Black Leather Strap 2001
Description
The Navitimer is the watch that made Breitling's reputation among pilots and collectors alike, and the A13322 represents the reference in its modern 41mm form — large enough to read at a glance, disciplined enough to wear off the cockpit. Introduced in the late 1990s and running into the early 2000s, this generation carried the slide-rule bezel that defines the line alongside a column-wheel chronograph movement, the architecture that gives the pushers their characteristic resistance and snap. The sapphire crystal replaced the earlier hesalite, and the quick-set date mechanism made the watch genuinely practical without compromising its instrument character.
This example presents on a black dial — the correct choice for the Navitimer, where the white registers of the alternative read as a compromise between legibility and drama rather than achieving either. Against the stainless steel case, the black dial absorbs light rather than reflecting it, and the slide-rule graduations read as a working tool rather than decoration. Dated to 2001 by its original Breitling papers, it arrives in very good condition throughout — case, bezel, crystal, and strap all showing only the lightest evidence of age.
Offered in very good condition, with papers. Service valid through September 2026.
