Omega Seamaster 120 568.007 Black Stainless steel
Description
The Omega Seamaster 120 ref. 568.007 belongs to a chapter of Omega's history that often goes underappreciated: the late-1960s and early-1970s push to build a genuinely capable sport watch at 30mm, sized for the wrist proportions of the era and worn hard by people who actually used them. The Seamaster 120 designation referred to a 120-metre water resistance rating — serious for its time — and the line sat between Omega's dress output and the more aggressive Seamaster 300 family. This reference runs an automatic movement, a meaningful distinction from the hand-wound variants in the same series, and the case is constructed entirely in stainless steel with a rotating bezel and plexiglass crystal, both period-correct and both contributors to the watch's utilitarian character.
The black dial with stick indices is the configuration that reads best on this reference — cleaner than the silver variants, and more honest about what the watch was designed to do. Age-appropriate patina on the dial is exactly what a collector should expect and want here; it confirms originality in a market where redials are common. The plexiglass crystal carries its own quiet argument: it scratches, yes, but it also polishes, and the way it bends light across the dial surface is something a sapphire replacement simply doesn't replicate. The bracelet and caseback present in very good condition, with the case and bezel showing honest wear consistent with age. Serviced July 2026.
Offered watch only, pre-owned, all original parts.
