Breitling Navitimer K30022 Silver Leather 1990
Description
The Navitimer is the reference against which Breitling measures everything else it has made, and the K30022 — the Navitimer 92 — represents one of the more considered moments in that lineage. Introduced in the early 1990s as a deliberate return to the proportions of the original 806, the 92 pulled the case back to 38mm at a time when the market was pushing larger, and paired that restraint with an automatic movement — a meaningful departure from the hand-wound calibers that had defined the model for decades. In solid 18-karat yellow gold, the reference carries a weight and presence that the steel variants simply cannot replicate; gold also ages into the instrument aesthetic in a way that feels earned rather than decorative.
This example wears a silver dial against the yellow gold case and bezel — the combination that works best here, since a darker dial would absorb the warmth the gold gives back. The slide rule bezel, the defining functional element of every Navitimer, shows very good condition alongside the case and caseback, with age-appropriate patina noted on the dial that speaks honestly to its 1990 production. In hand, the gold catches light the way no photograph quite manages to settle.
Offered in very good condition, watch only, with an original Breitling buckle. Serviced March 2026.
