Breitling Montbrillant Légende A23350 Black Stainless Steel 2010
Description
The Navitimer's history runs long enough that Breitling has periodically stepped back to honor it — and the Montbrillant Légende, ref. A23350, is among the more considered of those tributes. Introduced in the 2000s as a limited edition, it draws on the original Montbrillant name that predates the Navitimer itself, referencing Breitling's Geneva address and the slide-rule chronographs that defined the marque's aviation identity. The case runs to 47mm, which places it at the outer edge of wearable scale — deliberately so, echoing the oversized instrument watches of the 1950s. The automatic movement drives a full chronograph with rotating bezel and date, housed under sapphire crystal.
This example presents on a black dial with stick indices — the cleaner of the available configurations, where the circular slide rule reads without the visual competition that busier dials introduce. At 47mm in stainless steel, it wears as a statement piece, but the proportions are considered rather than gratuitous; the lug-to-lug geometry keeps it from overwhelming the wrist the way a photograph suggests it might. A service was completed in November 2025, which means the movement has been freshly attended.
Offered in very good condition with papers dated 2010, watch only.
